The Penrose Grand Canyon Package
Take a trip to the Grand Canyon during either a two or three day stay at the Penrose.
All Grand Canyon tours include the following:
- Pickup at The Penrose about 7:25 AM
- Transportation in an air conditioned, 14 or 26 passenger luxury coach
- Narrated tour with video presentations
- Travel through Oak Creek Canyon
- Drive by the San Francisco peaks one of which, Mt. Humphries (12,634 ft), is Arizona’s highest point
- Time in the Grand Canyon Village
- Stops at scenic points along the South and East rims
- Travel along the Little Colorado River Gorge
- Skirt the edge of the Painted Desert
- Travel through the Navajo Indiana Reservation stopping at the Historic Trading Post in Cameron
- Drop off at The Penrose about 6:30-7:00P (later drop off for the Sunset Tour)
Variations on a theme. Choose one of the following tours:
1. Grand Canyon Day Tour. This tour maximizes your free time at the Grand Canyon because it does not
include either lunch or the IMAX movie.
2. Grand Canyon Deluxe tour includes the world famous IMAX movie
about the Grand Canyon and lunch in the National Park at either the Maswik or Yavapai Lodge.
2A. Same as 2 above except tour does not include Imax movie and lunch is at the scenic Bright Angel
Lodge.
3. Grand Canyon El Tovar. Same as 2 except for the gourmet lunch at the historic El Tovar Lodge.
Depending on the time of year and how crowded the restaurant is, this lunch can take up to 1-1/2 to 2
hours.
3A. Same as 3 above except tour does not include Imax movie.
4. The Grand Canyon Sunset Tour. Enjoy a leisurely 1-mile stroll along the South Rim and stop at the
Watchtower Observatory at Desert View on the East Rim. Enjoy a gourmet dinner on the South Rim.
View a full-length movie on the return trip home. Most of all, enjoy the changing colors, shadows and
lighting during sunset hours. (Tour does not include lunch or Imax movie.)
Tours 1, 2, 3, and 4 above are offered by Great Venture Tours while tours 2A and 3A are Pink Jeep tours.
Two-and Three-day packages:
- Two-day packages include two nights at The Penrose in any available room and a Grand Canyon Tour.
- Three-day packages include three nights at The Penrose in any available room, a Grand Canyon Tour, and a dinner for two at one of Sedona’s premier restaurants: Cowboy Club (Southwestern), Cucina Rustica (Mediterranean), Dahl and DiLuca (Italian), Rene (Continental), or Shugrue’s (American and Continental). (Dinner excludes alcohol. $100 limit.)
The Penrose His and Hers Package for Two
• Two nights at The Penrose: select any available room.
• Dinner: Enjoy fine dining at one of Sedona’s premiere restaurants: Cowboy Club (Southwestern), Cucina
Rustica (Italian), Dahl and DiLuca (Italian), Rene (Continental), or Shugrue’s (American and Continental).

Choose one of the following (New Day Spa):
1. A 45 minute treatment which includes a unique spa experience! You are cleansed with a gentle sugar
scrub, then rinsed while being massaged under a continuous cascade of warm water, washing away
body aches, tentions and worries.
2. New Day Swedish Massage (60 minutes).
Just for Him
Choose one of the following:
1. Play 9 or 18 holes of golf anytime (golf carts included).
2. Rent a full suspension mountain bike for the day.
3. Take to the air in a Cessna (30 minutes).

The Penrose Honeymoon & Anniversary Package for Two
• Three nights at The Penrose: select any available room.
• Two Dinners for Two. Enjoy fine dining at two of Sedona’s premiere restaurants:
Cowboy Club (Southwestern), Cucina Rustica (Mediterranean), Dahl and DiLuca
(Italian), Rene (Continental), or Shugrue’s (American and Continental). (Excludes alcohol. $100 limit.)
• Choose two of the following (each activity is for two people):
Jeep tour: Choose from over fifteen tours (up to two hours each).
Massage: Swedish Massage at Sedona's New Day Spa which is an intimate, day spa, not a resort (60
minutes).
Airplane ride: Choose one of two flights: a 15 minute open cockpit Red Rock Bi-Plane Tour or a 30 minute
Cessna Red Rock Tour.
Horseback ride: Enjoy a one-and-a-half or two hour horseback ride on
a working cattle ranch in Rimrock.
Golf: Play 9 or 18 holes of golf anytime (golf carts included).
Mountain biking: Rent a full suspension mountain bike for the day.
Train trip: Take a four-hour wilderness train ride along the Verde River through the colorful Verde Canyon
and upper Verde Valley. Ride first class.
Jeep rental: Rent a jeep for 4 hours. Go where others can't.
African Wildlife Park: Do you like to see wildlife animals in an outdoor setting? If so, visit the Out of Africa
Wildlife Park in nearby Camp Verde. (If you choose this option we will subtract $50 from the Anniversary
Package price.)

The Penrose's Romantic Package for Two
• Two nights at The Penrose: select any room.
• Dinner: Enjoy fine dining at one of Sedona’s premiere restaurants: Cowboy Club (Southwestern), Cucina
Rustica (Mediterranean), Dahl and DiLuca (Italian), Rene (Continental and American), or Shugrue (American
and Continental). (Excludes alcohol. $100 limit.)
• Choose one of the following (all activities are for two people):
Jeep Tour: Choose from over fifteen tours (up to two hours each).
Airplane ride: 30 minute Cessna Red Rock Tour.
Horseback ride (one hour): Enjoy riding on a working cattle ranch in Rimrock. Or experience the trails of
Dead Horse Ranch State Park on with a ride that covers many local landscapes, from riverbed to high
desert.
Golf: Golf in a beautiful setting where the red rocks meet the course green (Oak Creek Country Club). 9
holes anytime or 18 holes at 3P or later. (Golf carts included.)
Mountain biking: Ride free all day in this red rock mecca.
Train trip: Take a four-hour wilderness train ride along the Verde River through the colorful Verde Canyon

Sedona Golf Resort. Play a 6,646 yard, par 71 course widely ranked as one of the top 5 public courses
in Arizona.
